What Makes This Expansion Unique?

The World's End Tournament — PvP Mode

Against the Ogre Horde introduces something completely new to HeroQuest: a Player vs Player arena battle mode called the World's End Tournament. Using a dedicated arena tile sheet, players can compete directly against each other — no Zargon needed, no cooperative objective. Last team standing wins.

This mode is entirely optional and separate from the main campaign. It adds a completely different way to play HeroQuest that has never existed in the game's history — and for groups who have always wanted to test their heroes against each other, it's an exciting addition.

How Does the Main Campaign Play?

The 10-quest campaign sends heroes into increasingly dangerous confrontations with the Ogre Horde and their Ogre Lord leader. The narrative builds across the quests — heroes face Ogre Warriors first, then encounter the Ogre Commander, and ultimately face the Ogre Lord in a climactic final confrontation.

The Ogres' high strength and unique abilities — such as the Ogre Commander's leadership buffs and the Ogre Lord's devastating attacks — force heroes to rethink their typical strategies. Rushing into combat without a plan is a fast way to lose a hero permanently.

The 3 original new quests introduce scenarios that feel fresh even for veteran HeroQuest players, with objectives and layouts that go beyond the classic "explore and survive" formula.
