Cthulhu: Dark Providence

“Cthulhu: Dark Providence” is an upcoming board game set for release in November 2024. Designed by Martin Wallace and Travis R. Chance, this game is inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos and set in the same universe as “Cthulhu: Death May Die.” The game combines elements of deck-building, hidden identities, and area control, with players taking on secret roles as Investigators, Cultists, or Dissidents.

In “Cthulhu: Dark Providence,” players compete in a horror-themed setting during the Great Depression, seeking to either stop or promote the influence of the Elder Gods. Each player’s alignment influences their strategy and scoring, with Investigators working to seal gates and recruit allies, Cultists aiming to advance their dark rituals, and Dissidents playing a more versatile role.

The game supports 1-5 players and takes about 90-120 minutes to play. It is recommended for ages 13 and up. With a focus on strategic bidding for assets, managing influence, and surviving encounters with otherworldly horrors, “Cthulhu: Dark Providence” promises a deep and immersive experience.
