What Is Blood Rage?

Blood Rage is a competitive area control and card drafting game for 2 to 4 players. The game takes place across three Ages — each representing a chapter of Norse mythology's end times. Each Age begins with a card draft where players select powerful upgrades, quests, and monster allies from a shared pool. Then clans invade provinces, battle each other, pillage villages, and complete quests — all racing to accumulate the most honor before Ragnarök consumes the world.

The game ends when all three Ages are complete. The player with the most honor wins — having proven their clan worthy of Valhalla through a combination of conquest, strategy, and gloriously spectacular deaths.

What Makes It Unique

How Does It Play?

Each Age follows a clean structure: Draft → Action Phase → Ragnarök. During the Action Phase, players take turns placing figures on the board — invading provinces, pillaging villages, initiating battles, and completing quests. Battle resolution is simple: highest combined strength wins, but the loser's clan may trigger powerful "on death" effects that score honor regardless of the outcome.

The card draft is where Blood Rage's strategic depth lives. Each card in a player's hand is both a powerful tool for themselves and a card denied to opponents. Knowing which cards your rivals are building toward — and actively blocking their most powerful combinations — is as important as choosing your own upgrades.

At the end of each Age, Ragnarök destroys one province — removing all figures in it from the board. Clans with figures in the doomed province score honor for dying gloriously in Ragnarök itself. The game's pacing accelerates beautifully toward its apocalyptic conclusion.
